Urge Governor Henry to Veto SB 714 - NOW!!!
The fundamentalist religious right has been inundating the Governor’s Office with phone calls in support of the abortion bill, SB 714. The Office is maintaining a tally of the calls. Everyone opposed to this draconian bill should call the Governor’s Office and simply give your name and that you are opposed to SB 714 and urge the Governor to veto it. No other details are needed.

SB 714 would ban the use of public funds to pay for abortions, except to save the life of the woman. Poor women will have no choice but to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term or self-abort.

As a citizen and taxpayer of Oklahoma, I strongly desire that my tax dollars do not fund abortions. I would, however support tax dollars be used to educate young men and women concerning their bodies so that they truly have full rights to their bodies and not find themselves in a position where the rights of an unborn child are threatened.

When men start bearing children, they can have a say in reproductive rights. Until that day comes, shut up. Or better, do the female population a favor and get a vasectomy.

the bottom line is NOBODY has the right to say what a woman can and cannot do on this subject. Not the gov. not the person living down the road who "thinks" they they are right, knows what's good for you etc etc. NOBODY!
