Join us to Support Our Troops

The Support the Troops event will be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 6:30p.m. at the ODP Headquarters, 4100 N. Lincoln Blvd, Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma Democrats support our active duty service men and women and their families, as well as veterans from all periods of military service to our country.

The Oklahoma Democratic Party is sponsoring a "Support the Troops" campaign by gathering items from the "Most Wanted" list that have been requested by our Oklahoma Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen in Iraq and Afghanistan.
AND YOU CAN HELP!

The Oklahoma Democrats Veteran’s Affairs Committee will be collecting these items at Democrat Headquarters until August 21st when we will box ‘em up and ship ‘em out! We will also accept checks by mail made out to Oklahoma Democrats and earmarked for ‘Support the Troops.’

Here is a list of the most wanted items from home that our troops have requested while serving in the Middle East:

Food items:

• Drink mix (Kool-Aid, individual packets)
• Cookies
• Non-perishable snack foods
• Brown sugar

Hygiene items:

• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Dental floss
• Soap/bath gel
• Shampoo/conditioner
• Deodorant
• Baby wipes
• Feminine hygiene products
• Towels
• Emery boards
• Combs
• Nail clippers
• Q-tips
• Disposable razors and wash cloths
• Lip balm

Miscellaneous:

• Magazines (sports, hunting, fishing, gaming, news, science, fashion, cooking)
• Small puzzle books (sudoku, etc)
• Pre-paid phone cards
• Socks (white and black)
• Spray and Wash solid
• Blank greeting cards
• Envelopes
• Stationery, pens
• Ziploc baggies (Large and small)
